I'm a graduate of Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. I hold a BA in Public Relations and Advertising, and a minor in Production Design. I've created commercials, developed campaigns for films and musicians, and experienced the entertainment industry first hand. I've won two awards from the OC Press Club for my music column in the Newport Beach Independent Newspaper and freelance for various publications.
While studying entertainment marketing for film and music, I learned the skills to execute effective and groundbreaking marketing campaigns, along with social media, pitching, copywriting, and digital advertising. During my time at school, I interned at record labels and PR firms. I worked with clients such as the Dandy Warhols, Jared Leto, and Vogue with Zoe Costello. I've worked in costume and production design for Amazon Studios, Target, Urban Outfitters, and a number of independent films that won festivals, including the Austin Film Festival and the Student Academy Awards.
In my junior year, I worked as a music editorial intern for Crossfader Magazine and wrote some of the most popular articles on the website. In my senior year, I became a music writer for Merry-Go-Round Magazine. As an accomplished music journalist, with years of experience in the industry, I was hired right out of school as the music journalist for the Newport Beach Independent Newspaper, where I currently write their Soundcheck Column.
Music Bussiness and Marketing
Certified in Google Adwords, I've created digital marketing and PR campaigns for SugarHigh LoveStoned Clothing, the Orange County Heritage Museum, and countless student films. I assisted on music advertising campaigns for artists signed to Riptide Music Group during my music business internship.
I've worked in A&R at Riptide Music Group, was assistant manager to the band Silverbird, and interned for Grammy Award winning music producer Cory Rooney.
